Chinese tea Jin Jun Mei (Golden Eyebrows) is a red tea (Europeans call it black), which consists of dark and golden flagella, similar to eyebrows. The tea bushes from which the raw materials for making this tea are collected grow at an altitude of 1500 m above sea level. Only young buds are suitable for Jin Jun Mei, so they are collected only during the first weeks of spring. About 100 thousand buds are required for 1 kg of finished tea.
The infusion has a golden-orange color and a deep floral-fruity aroma. The drink has a rich taste: it has notes of prunes, smoke and a long honey aftertaste. “Golden Eyebrows” is a rare, expensive tea that needs to be sipped slowly, savoring every sip to enjoy all the nuances of taste and aroma.
How to brew?
- This tea should be brewed with hot water at a temperature of 90-95°C. When brewing using the pouring method, it is recommended to take 5-7 g of tea leaves per gaiwan.
- It can withstand 5-7 brewings.
